Come visit the ashram
You are warmly invited to spend time in the stillness and sacredness of Just Love Forest. We have three ways to visit outside of our regular retreats:
Our ashram opens its gates every Tuesday, Hanuman’s Day, for those who wish to visit for the day or to stay overnight, once monthly on Fridays, for Community Weekends or you can request a personal retreat.
1) HANUMAN TUESDAYS
Hanuman Tuesdays: A quiet, donation-based pilgrimage each Tuesday at Just Love Forest. Walk to sacred Bhakti Mountain, turn off your phone, and spend the day in silent personal practice, with the option to leave at 6 p.m. or stay for a simple dinner at 6:30 and join Puja & Aarti from 7:30–8:30, departing before the gates close at 9 p.m
Every Tuesday · 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. (with optional dinner, evening puja & overnight stay)
Tuesdays are dedicated to Hanuman. Its a day of devotion, silence, and rest in the forest. You’re invited to arrive by 10 a.m. for welcome and orientation. After brief introductions, we will enter silence for the remainder of the day.
This is a pilgrimage to Bhakti Mountain, a sacred walk of about 40 minutes through the forest. Once you reach the top, you are welcome to sit in quiet practice, read spiritual texts, reflect, or simply rest in the beauty of the land. You may also remain in silence at Basecamp if you prefer not to walk.
Please bring your own lunch to enjoy quietly during the day. No musical instruments for this particular practice, and we ask that all participants silence or switch off cell phones upon arrival.
Silent time for personal practice is held from about 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
If you’re coming for the day: you may depart quietly at 6 p.m.
— or —
you’re welcome to stay for a simple plant-based dinner at 6:30 p.m. and join Puja & Aarti from 7:30–8:30 p.m., departing before the gates close at 9 p.m.If you’re staying overnight: after Puja & Aarti, we observe quiet hours beginning at 9 p.m. The next morning we gather for puja & arati at 6:30 a.m., followed by a light plant-based breakfast around 9 a.m. Departure is by 10 a.m.
Participation is offered on a donation basis to help care for the land and sustain this practice.
Suggested offering:
– Day pilgrimage & silent practice: Dana — any amount is welcome
– Dinner & overnight stay: $30–50 suggested donation
Give what you’re able; no one is turned away for lack of funds.
2) FRIDAY NIGHTS DURING COMMUNITY WEEKENDS
Once each month during our community weekends (see dates here), we also offer a Friday overnight gathering dedicated to meditation, evening puja & arati, and quiet time in the forest:
4:30 PM Arrival
Just Love Forest is now being held as a Forest Ashram, rooted in the living traditions and lineage of the great Indian saint Neem Karoli Baba, and following the path of Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of love.
To honor this shift, for the remainder of 2025, our Friday Evening Meditation Retreats will be donation-based. Everyone is welcome. Simply offer what you can to help us offset food costs and maintain the space.
Each evening will include:
Guided Meditation – open to all paths, lineages, and traditions.
Pooja & Aarti Ceremony – an ancient Vedic practice honoring the elements and the four directions.
This sacred space is open to people of all faiths. If you feel called, you may bring a sacred object from your own tradition with a spiritualist, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, or otherwise to place on the altar and receive blessings.
If these practices are new to you, don’t be afraid. Come with curiosity, come to learn, come to share in community. Our invitation is simple: all hearts are welcome.
As part of this we will offer an Indian food dinner before our meditation. You're welcome to come for the evening and depart around 8pm or stay overnight in one of our canvas bell tents, all donation based.
Saturday morning we will wake up and offer the Pooja & Aarti Ceremony again at 7:00am, followed by a silent meditation from 7:30am - 8:30am, followed by breakfast.
3) PERSONAL RETREAT BY REQUEST
If you feel called to come at another time, you are welcome to request a personal visit; we host as we’re able, balancing the flow of the ashram with the needs of the land and community.
Come walk the trails, rest in silence, and reconnect with the deep peace of the forest.
