Sacred Community Project Spring Retreat: Ram Dass, Bhakti and Love - Memorial Day weekend

We’ve hosted the Ram Dass Summer Camp for three years now and it’s a favorite event for many. This year we’ve teamed up with a large Ram Dass-inspired community (www.sacredcommunityproject.org) to offer a much larger heartfelt gathering. Sitaram Dass, Founder of SCP, was Ram Dass’ longest caretaker. And in the process he was profoundly affected by his “Loving Awareness” and wanted to share this love through gatherings and practices in sacred community.

Finding Your Peace, On Your Terms.

Embrace the Quiet: A Three-Day Silence Retreat in Just Love Forest 🌲💚

In the heart of Just Love Forest, we invite you to a unique journey of silence and self-discovery. Unlike traditional meditation retreats, our Three-Day Silence Retreat is crafted around the nourishing power of shared stillness and the profound serenity of the forest. It's an open invitation to people from all walks of life, regardless of meditation experience, to come and explore the depths of silence in a way that resonates most deeply with you.

Your Retreat, Your Way.

From the moment of arrival on Thursday morning, you're welcomed into a sanctuary where personal growth and rejuvenation are nurtured by the natural world. We begin a relaxing afternoon with plenty of time to get to know the forest and other attendees. We’ll have a communal dinner, deep introductions, and the soothing sounds of gentle kirtan music, setting the stage for the silence that commences later that evening before bedtime.

This silence is your canvas. You are free to engage in optional structured silent and guided meditations held throughout the day or choose your own path to peace. Whether it's the secluded privacy of your tent, the immersive beauty of the forest, or the quiet companionship of the yurt's meditative space, follow your heart. This retreat is about honoring your intuition, allowing you to find stillness in the way that best nourishes your soul.

A Shared Silence.

In this space, silence becomes a powerful medium for connection — with yourself, with nature, and with the unspoken bond between all participants. By stepping back from the world of sound, we open ourselves to a deeper level of communication and understanding.

As we emerge on Sunday evening, the retreat closes with a session of deep sharing and a return to kirtan, marking the transition from our silent journey back to the world of sound, carrying with us the peace and insights we've discovered.

Details:

- Who Can Attend? Open to all, by application. This retreat is for anyone seeking personal growth, reflection, and rejuvenation.

- Reciprocity: $500- $800 + tax sliding scale pricing including all programs, room and board.

- Arrival: 11:00 AM Thursday, for lunch and introductions.

- Silence: Begins Thursday evening, ending Sunday evening with deep sharing and kirtan.

Healing Intimacy Retreat: A Somatic Journey

EXPERIENCE A MAGICAL WEEKEND OF HEALING IN COMMUNITY & NATURE

A Forest Retreat of Shared Experiences

When we don’t express freely, our relationships suffer. Boundaries are crossed, feelings get hurt, and relationships take on a tit-for-tat dynamic. We talk over each other to get the last word; we remain silent to avoid conflict. We repress our anger and later explode in volatility or fester in resentments. In romantic relationships, our sex drive plummets or we fantasize about finding fulfillment elsewhere. Walls form between us. We ghost family members or friends without explanation. We obligatorily spend time with loved ones when our presence is a million miles away. We become co-dependent, detached, oversensitive, anxious.

FOREST THERAPY: NOVEMBER FALL TRANSITIONS EXPERIENCE

Come experience the transitions of the season. Color, texture and the energy in the wind will be noticed using all of your senses. Plan to arrive at 10:00am followed by a guided forest therapy program. We’ll start in the nature labyrinth to honor all beings in the forest ask permission and state our intentions. We will do 4 hours of forest therapy on the lowland trails and close our formal program at 4:00pm. Register here

ABOUT FOREST THERAPY: THE MEDICINE YOU RECEIVE FROM NATURE WHILE IN THE FOREST IS MULTIFACETED

You receive the psychological well-being of the quiet and colors of natural surroundings. But more specifically and scientifically, Shinrin-yoku is the Japanese practice of “forest bathing.”

When you come to Just Love, you are literally bathing in “phytoncides” the organic compounds that trees give off that boost white blood cell counts in humans. These are known as “natural killer or NK cells” and kill tumors and viruses of all types.

After a few hours of peaceful immersion, you leave with greater connection and wellbeing that spans mental, emotional and physical aspects of your being. Learn more about the practice here.

SLIDING SCALE PAYMENT

Everyone is welcome, regardless of ability to pay. We’ll be offering payment for this forest therapy experience on a sliding scale basis to ensure access for everyone. After registering below, you’ll be taken to a payment page where you can choose your amount.

DAY OF SILENCE, A RETREAT with Rene Eder

Did you ever notice, the words "silent" and "listen" are the same letters, just arranged differently? Silence is powerful, it commands your attention.  It may make you uncomfortable, because it is so easy to fill the void with noise.  You long for peace and quiet, yet frightened of it at the same time.

Being silent reveals opportunities to listen.

To listen to the innerworkings of your mind and find peace, you have to sit, become still and listen.  In time, the noise becomes nothing but noise.  If you listen long enough, a separation occurs.

You can find a beautiful wellspring of peace and quiet within you, just be silent and listen.A unique opportunity to be silent awaits!  See details below and join me!

Sunday, September 17th, 10am-6pm

Morning: Welcome, sound session, meditation, labyrinth
Lunch "Yoga-meal style"
Afternoon: hike, yin Yoga, meditation, foraged tea and closing circle

Price: Sliding scale $100-$200
Bring your own lunch, or request a prepared, vegan option for an additional $25
