The Dharamshala
Ancient hospitality, renewed in the forest.
Our Dharamshala will be a simple, loving space at Just Love Forest Ashram. Now that we have formally dedicated the land as a forest ashram, our next step is to create an affordable place for people to stay for weekend gatherings as well as during the week, now that we live here full time. In the spirit of traditional guesthouses that cared for travelers along their way, this space will offer refuge, community, and love. Below, you’ll see how we are inviting the financial support of our community to help make this next, our fourth yurt built together by community, a reality.
A Place of refuge.
The Dharamshala at Just Love Forest Ashram is a living tradition of welcome. With your help, we’ll create a sanctuary that serves many while offering space for your own renewal. This will be a place of belonging, care, and sacred service
The Invitation to support
We are inviting both Anchor Stewards at $20,000 each and Supporting Stewards to help bring this vision to life. Anchor Stewards receive 2 weeks of personal retreat time for themselves and up to 3 friends and a 10% return after three years, while Supporting Stewards can support the cause at various levels with retreat credits and recognition.
The full Vision & Invitation Document shares our purpose, structure, and how you can participate in building this living tradition of refuge.
Built by Community, For Community
One of the most beautiful truths of Just Love Forest is that our community already knows how to bring visions like this to life. From design to planning, implementation to finishing touches, we’ve done it before — together.
My own yurt home here in the forest is 95% community-created. Every detail, from the layout to the woodwork to the final flourishes, has been shaped by the hands and hearts of people who love this land.
We’ve created a short video tour to show you what we’re capable of. It’s living proof that when we come together, we can craft spaces that are both beautiful and deeply rooted in care.
The Dharamshala will be no different, built with the same spirit of collaboration, love, and skill that has already made this forest our home.

To help build the Dharamshala is to participate in something much larger than yourself. You are not just funding a building, you are creating a house of refuge that will serve community members, seekers, and grieving families for generations to come.
As an Anchor Steward, your contribution gives you time each year for your own retreat, but the greater gift is knowing that your support makes it possible for others to access this land affordably for healing, spiritual practice, and even green burial ceremonies. You are helping ensure that in life’s most meaningful moments, people have a place of dignity, comfort, and care.
Your $20,000 is not a donation lost to the wind. It is a protected contribution, with the intent that Just Love Forest Ashram will buy it back in three years with a 10% return or it will be sold to a community member. That means you are both investing in community well-being and supporting the long-term vision of the forest Ashram. One of hospitality, sacred service, and ecological stewardship.
People step into this kind of role because they want their resources to create impact, to embody love in action, and to leave a legacy of refuge. If you have ever wanted your money to reflect your heart, this is one way to do it.
