Hermitage at just love forest

Stillness, land, inner knowing

The Hermitage Program at Just Love Forest offers a container for solitude, simplicity, and deep listening.

It is an invitation to step out of the noise of daily life and into an intentional relationship with silence, land, and inner guidance.

Hermitage time lives in the pause between doing and becoming, between breath and breath.

Here, solitude is not isolation, but companionship with the forest itself.

Whether one comes with a specific spiritual practice, creative inquiry, or simply the need to rest and recalibrate, the hermitage provides a supportive space to reconnect with what is essential.

Who is hermitage for?

Hermitage may be supportive for those who are:

• Seeking time alone for prayer, meditation, or reflection

• In transition or discernment

• Engaging in a creative or spiritual reset

• Longing to reconnect with nature and rhythm

• Comfortable being alone without external stimulation

Hermitage is not recommended for those seeking social connection, facilitation, or therapeutic support during their stay.

The Spirit of Hermitage

Hermitage at Just Love Forest is rooted in respect for:

• Silence and inward attention

• The sanctity of the land

• Simplicity as a spiritual practice

• Personal responsibility and self-sufficiency

• Non-distraction and minimal external engagement

This is not a retreat in the conventional sense. There is no programming, facilitation, or group activity. The forest, the quiet, and your own practice become the teachers.

Hermitage spaces are intended for solo occupancy only, to preserve the contemplative field of the land.

  • Just Love Forest Heart Centered Model

To help create commitment and sustain this sacred space, we ask each participant to make a base donation before the retreat. This donation reserves your place and signals your sincere intention to join.

    We call this model Heart-Offering:

You make a contribution up front, and after the hermitage you’ll be invited to adjust your offering - increase or decrease - based on what the weekend meant to you and what your heart feels called to give.

Pause and listen inwardly. Consider what a period of deep practice, nature, and reflection is worth to you, and what you are truly able to give. Let your contribution come from the heart, generous enough to honor the experience, but also nourishing rather than depleting for yourself, so that this feels supportive and life-giving, not extractive.
