A Day of Devotion, Nature & Self-Directed Sadhana
Love Everyone. Serve Everyone. Remember God.
Every Tuesday at Just Love Forest Ashram
Join us for a donation-based day of intention, devotion, and spiritual practice in the sacred embrace of the forest.
Arrival: 10:00 AM
Day Practice · Optional Evening Puja · Optional Overnight Stay
AN INVITATION TO SIMPLY BE
What if, for one day each week, you gave yourself permission to step away from the demands of ordinary life and return to what is sacred?
To walk without a destination. To rest without guilt. To sit beneath a tree without needing to accomplish anything.
To remember that spiritual practice doesn’t always require doing more. Sometimes it asks us to become still enough to recognize what is already here.
Hanuman Tuesdays are an invitation to explore your own relationship with the Divine through nature, silence, contemplation, devotion, and service.
Held by Just Love Forest Ashram, rooted in the devotional lineage of Neem Karoli Baba and Ram Dass, these weekly gatherings honor the path of Bhakti Yoga — the yoga of love, service, and devotion.
Tuesdays are traditionally sacred to Hanuman, the embodiment of courage, humility, unwavering devotion, and selfless service.
In his spirit, we gather not to follow a prescribed spiritual program, but to create space for each person to discover their own practice.
YOUR DAY. YOUR SADHANA.
This is a self-directed day of spiritual practice.
After gathering at 10:00 AM for welcome tea, introductions, and an optional morning puja and aarti, the day becomes yours.
There are no mandatory workshops, guided sessions, or expectations to participate in group activities.
Instead, we invite you to listen inwardly.
Perhaps your practice will look like:
Hiking the forest trail to Bhakti Mountain, our sacred mountaintop sanctuary.
Resting in a hammock beneath the trees, listening to the wind move through the canopy.
Sitting quietly in our meditation yurt.
Reading a spiritual text, journaling, chanting, or praying.
Walking slowly through the forest, allowing the natural world to become your teacher.
Practicing meditation, breath awareness, or gentle movement.
Spending time in gratitude, remembrance, or loving contemplation.
Offering an hour of seva — selfless service — helping tend the garden, care for the land, or support the Ashram in some small way.
And perhaps your practice will simply be to do nothing at all.
A nap can be sadhana. A walk can be prayer. Tending the garden can be worship.
When approached with loving awareness and intention, every ordinary action becomes an opportunity to remember the sacred.
There is nothing to achieve, no spiritual experience to manufacture, and no particular way you are expected to feel.
Just come as you are.
THE RHYTHM OF TUESDAY
10:00 AM — Arrival & Welcome Tea
We gather at Basecamp for a warm cup of tea, introductions, and a gentle welcome to the Ashram.
Take a moment to arrive fully, settle into the forest, and begin letting go of the pace of everyday life.
Following Tea — Morning Puja & Aarti (Optional)
We invite you to join us for a simple devotional gathering honoring Hanuman and the spirit of loving service.
Through prayer, chanting, and the offering of light, we create an opportunity to open our hearts and dedicate the day to love.
Participation is entirely voluntary. You are equally welcome to observe quietly or begin your own personal practice elsewhere on the land.
Late Morning — Entering Your Sadhana
After our morning gathering, the remainder of the day becomes yours.
Explore the forest, hike to Bhakti Mountain, rest in a hammock, meditate in the yurt, read, journal, or participate in optional seva.
The hike to Bhakti Mountain takes approximately 40 minutes each way and is entirely optional.
Midday — Nourishment & Reflection
Enjoy the lunch you’ve brought, at your own pace.
1:00–5:00 PM — Self-Directed Sadhana
These hours are dedicated to your own spiritual practice, contemplation, rest, and optional service.
There is no required programming or group facilitation. We simply ask that everyone honor the peaceful, contemplative atmosphere of the Ashram.
This is not enforced silence, but an invitation to speak intentionally, honor one another’s solitude, and allow the forest itself to be heard.
6:00 PM — Daytime Departure
Those joining us for the day are welcome to depart quietly.
TUESDAY EVENING DEVOTION (OPTIONAL)
For those wishing to extend their time at the Ashram:
6:30 PM — Community Dinner
A simple, nourishing plant-based meal prepared with love.
7:30–8:30 PM — Evening Puja & Aarti
An optional gathering for devotional prayer, chanting, and the offering of light.
You do not need to know the chants or be familiar with Hindu devotional practices. Listening, observing, and simply being present are equally welcome.
9:00 PM — Gates Close & Overnight Quiet Begins
Evening visitors depart before 9:00 PM, and overnight guests enter a period of rest and quiet.
WEDNESDAY MORNING — AWAKENING IN DEVOTION
For those staying overnight, we offer a gentle morning of contemplative and devotional practices before departure.
7:00–8:00 AM — Meditation
Begin the morning in stillness, allowing the mind to settle and the heart to open.
8:00–8:30 AM — Breathwork
An invitation to connect with the breath, awaken the body, and cultivate presence.
8:30–9:00 AM — Puja & Aarti
We close our morning practices with devotional prayer, chanting, and the offering of light, dedicating our practice to love and service.
9:00 AM — Light Plant-Based Breakfast
Gather for a simple, nourishing breakfast before returning to the rhythms of daily life.
10:00 AM — Departure
All Wednesday morning practices are entirely optional.
You are welcome to participate in one, several, or none.
Perhaps your morning practice is meditation. Perhaps it is joining us for aarti. Or perhaps it is sleeping a little longer, sitting quietly with tea, or watching the morning sunlight filter through the trees.
There is no expectation to attend, no attendance to keep, and nothing to accomplish.
At Just Love Forest, we honor that sadhana takes many forms.
The invitation is simply to practice with intention, in whatever way brings you closer to love.

COME HOME TO THE FOREST
There is a teaching in the life of Hanuman that reminds us that devotion is not separate from living.
Love is expressed through service.
Presence is expressed through attention.
And the sacred can be found in even the simplest act when performed with an open heart.
Perhaps you will climb a mountain.
Perhaps you will tend a garden.
Perhaps you will lie beneath an old oak tree and watch the leaves fall.
Whatever form your practice takes, may it bring you closer to love.
We would be honored to share this sacred space with you.
