THe Japanese Practice of Shinrin yoku
Come spend a day healing in nature with friends and family on 716 Pristine acres.
Come have a safe and authentic experience to destress from the hustle and bustle of life in Atlanta. You’ll learn about the history of the land, the lineage of the practice and all the health benefits that nature therapy, also referred to as forest therapy and forest bathing, can offer you and loved ones.
“Living in Atlanta, my nervous system is almost always “on.” Traffic, screens, noise, the constant low-grade urgency of city life - even when I’m doing things I love, my body rarely gets a true exhale.
Spending a day in nature therapy at Just Love Forest, just an hour and a half outside the city, feels like something in me finally remembers how to slow down. The moment I arrive, my shoulders drop. My breathing deepens without effort. I’m not trying to relax, it just happens.
Walking slowly among the trees, guided with intention but without pressure, I notice how quiet my mind becomes. My stress levels soften. The mental chatter that usually follows me around Atlanta fades into the background. I feel more present in my body, more connected to my senses, and surprisingly clear.
By the time I drive back into the city, I’m not just calmer, I’m steadier. My patience is wider. My sleep improves. I feel more resourced to meet life as it is. It’s not an escape from Atlanta; it’s a reset that helps me return to it with more balance, resilience, and wellbeing.
What to Expect
You’ll be welcomed into a gentle opening circle with rose tea, where we’ll share the history of the land and set a spacious, intentional tone for the day.
A nourishing plant-based, organic lunch will be provided, with ingredients thoughtfully sourced from the gardens of Just Love Forest whenever possible.
The heart of the experience includes approximately three hours of guided nature therapy. These slow, accessible invitations are designed to help calm the nervous system, deepen sensory awareness, and foster a sense of connection with the forest, yourself, and others.
This experience is designed for all ages. Families are welcome; however, if you plan to attend with children under the age of 13, please inquire in advance by emailing bala@justloveforest.com so we can ensure the experience is supportive for everyone.
“Not just beautiful, though — the stars are like the trees in the forest, alive and breathing. And they’re watching me.”
